b&w summer

This is a double project.. the dress is based on a blouse from burda 7/2010 (p.36) with some alterations.. no ruffle for sleeves, straight line in front and of course it's a dress and not a blouse.)).  The top part is double. Τhe main dress (a lot of fabric)  Ι sewed first using  rubber and then I sewed together with the top!

I matched this dress with a belt based on burda  6/2009. I made it double, this belt can easily be a double fas belt . Τhe black ribbon is velvet. Here are some pictures with details of the belt:

burda 5/2009

A simple and beautiful top from burda magazine 05/2009. This is a casual version of this top, the fabric is cotton elastic so I didn't use a zipper. The half sleeves make it easier..

Oops! ... I Did It Again

This is a dress from a 70's burda magazine which I've made before in pink&red!! This version is almost like the magazine's colours. I didn't use the pocket cause I think it makes it more casual.. like it as much  as the first one!! The top of the dress is double and no lining is used. Two fabric buttons necessary..

It's a set.)

..new cover for my machine and pillow case..

I finally removed the plastic cover and made an outfit .) for my sewing machine! I sewed on two beautiful buttons which I bought in Heidelberg <3. I made a matching pillow case as well with zipper so I  can easily wash it or change it.. happy sewing!!

cover dress!!

I loved this dress when i saw it on the cover of burda! At first I thought that it had azipper on the back of it and I intended to use a stable fabric but then  I realised that it had no zipper and the suggested fabric was elastic jersey. I had an elastic floral velvet and I thought and I think that it matches!! Really easy to make even it has so many pieces! Ι didn't use the serger at all cause that fabric didn't need it .)

apron by burdastyle 12.10

The first apron I made and the last project of the year! It's from burdastyle of December/10 and it is really easy to make cause you don't even need a pattern. This one is for my lovely sister Vivi :)

All you need is to cut:

  •    100cm x 55cm for the bottom
  •     25cm x 30cm for the top
  •   17cm x 15cm twice for the pockets
  •  75cm x 6cm twice for the top straps
  • 130cm x 8 cm once for the waist.)

I like my new blouse!

I made this blouse from burda magazine, it was a special pattern on the issue of  December/2007. It was a set with a simple pencil skirt but the fabric I had wasn't enough. The original project was made by plaid fabric and it was very beautiful but I like my new blouse too! It has an invisible 40cm zipper behind and 6 big buttons, so 6 big buttonholes are needed..!
